Users can use Axiom's editor to not only edit requirements but to create richly formatted documents containing filtered sets of requirements.

Axiom's rich text editor allows you to create requirements with tables, images, hyperlinks and a wide variety of text formats.

The Artifact Collection feature allows you to quickly insert multiple requirements into a single document. Simply define a filter and then describe how the inserted data is to be formatted.

Once you've inserted a collection of requirements, you can edit them directly from the document.

Axiom is a great tool for writting requirements, but you can also use it to create use cases, tasks, change requests, test cases or any other artifact that you project might need. Simply create a template, give it a name, icon and attributes and then use it to create new artifacts.

Give your template an icon and name.

Add one or more custom attributes.

Use your template to create artifacts.

With the Artifact Table users can quickly filter, sort and edit requirements and other artifacts across multiple projects.

Sort by any attribute by clicking on a column.

Edit attributes by clicking in a cell.

Custom filters help you only see requirements and other artifacts that are important to you.

The Summary View helps you keep track of the requirements that are important to you. From this view users can create lists of requirements and other artifacts based on custom filters. These lists will be updated as artifacts change over time.

Each summary view contains a list of requirements and other artifacts based on a custom filter.

Click the edit button to change the filter.

Artifacts in each list will become bold when they are updated by other users. Simply double-click the artifact to see what's changed.

Reports

Axiom is tightly integrated with Eclipse's Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) allowing you to easily create powerful custom reports.

Build reports using custom filters and a large selection of formatting options.

Highlight the data that is important to your team.

Choose from a wide variety of charts and graphs.

Linking

Traceability is essential when developing software requirements. Axiom makes it a snap to define trace relationships between your requirements and other artifacts. Even better, Axiom lets you create custom link types allowing you to define relationships that fit your project.

Create relationships by simply draging a link from one artifact to another.

The color and style of link types is fully customizable.

In the Linking Surface you can use custom filters to highlight important artifacts.

Security

Axiom security is simple and powerful. Simply select some users from your ActiveDirectory or LDAP-endabled directory server and give them permissions for a tree of artifacts.

Select some users from your directory server. If you don't have a directory server then you can easily manage your users from within Axiom.

Choose from a wide-variety of permissions for the selected users.

Axiom keeps track of every change to your project's artifacts. With Tree Views you can create a snapshot (or baseline) of artifacts at a particular point in time.

Select a folder from the current tree of artifacts.

Specify the date and time from which a view is to be created.

Once a Tree View has been created it can be stored on the current tree, shared with other users and opened at any time. Double-click an artifact in a Tree View and Axiom will show you the artifact as it existed in the past.

History

Axiom keeps a detailed history of every artifact.

The history table displays all versions of an artifact so you can see how it has changed over time.

Attributes that have changed from one version to the next are displayed in bold.

Select two versions of an artifact and you can compare its attributes.

Watch List

The Watch List allows you to quickly scan your documents for glossary terms or other artifact names. This feature is especially usefull if you want to ensure that your requirements use the correct terminology.

Select a sub-tree of glossary terms or other artifacts.

When the names of these artifacts appear in a document, they will be added to the Watch List tree.

Simply click on an item in the Watch List tree to select the text in the document.

Discussions

Users can utilize the Discussion view of Axiom to keep all their conversations about a particular artifact in one place.

Click the New Discussion button to quickly start a threaded discussion regarding a requirement or other artifact.

Threaded discussions are tracked over time so that they can be referenced at a later date.

Discussion messages can be posted with rich text, images, hyperlinks and tables.

Digital Signature

Any artifact within Axiom can be electronically signed. This means that you can have your team sign off on individual requirements, documents or entire projects.

Define the meaning of a new signature and add one or more signatories.

As signatories sign the artifact, the date of the signature will be recorded.

Users will be notified that they have been asked to sign an artifact in the Pending Signatures view.
